Ever thought about finding your true love online? If so, be wary. Scammers generally exploit our weakness and in the case of online dating this is loneliness. The anonymity of online dating websites and chat rooms makes them ideal places for them pretending to be your ideal man or woman. They will start to build a relationship, and once you are smitten they will come to what they REALLY want... MONEY.
How do they do this?
They say they want to meet you.. only if they had the money, or they might ask for your help saying they are helpless abroad with no way of getting back home, they have been robbed, they need money for an operation or medicines, etc, etc.
Be very suspicious if they look like a model, be way if the postal address they give is a PO Box number, or a phone number that keeps ringing, etc, etc
Just ask yourself, If they really need help, why should you be the ONLY person they can talk to??
